Nepal Yatra 2020 :: Costs

Arrival in Nepal Costs (traveler pays):

·        Plane Tickets (Economy) -- approx. $1000-$1400 

·        Nepal Entry visa: 15 Days - $25;  30 Days - $40. The visa can be obtained on arrival at the airport, it takes a little time but there is NO hassle.

·        Send us your flight details and arrival times, we will send someone to pick you up.

Local Trip Costs = total of $1600 - $1750 *

·        *Hotel: Additional costs for a better hotel room will be about $150, deduction for a shared double room will be $125-150.

·        Payments: All payments should be sent to Kiranjit S. Rana by check or international money transfer, any fees prepaid. Email me for Account Number and other details.

·        Deposits

• First deposit due January 28 = $500

• =Second deposit due Feb 10 = $500

• Balance due by February 20 = $600 or $750 or as discussed

Breakdown of costs

Hotel = $350 / $500

·        Accommodation--A : 14 days at $25/day = $350 per person

·        Accommodation--B : 14 days at $35/day = $490 per person

·        Let us know if you want to share a room or already have a partner for sharing. We cannot guarantee sharing will be available. Call or email before Jan. 28 if you want to discuss options and special requests

Food = $260 per person

·        Breakfast is included in your hotel charge, lunch and dinner are together

·        Lunch or Dinner at the Ashram is $7.50 per meal; Lunch or Dinner outside is $10 per meal. We will take deposits for all meals and refund any excess at the end of the trip. All joint meals out will be put on one bill and one of the guides will pay the bill and tip.

·        Estimate: Lunch + Dinner  (13 Days) = $ 17.50/day = $227.50

·        Snacks and tea/coffee at meetings = $2.50/day = $32.50, total = $260 per person

·        This does not include charges for the free day when people are on their own

Local Transport = $240 per person

·        Daily MINIBUS for all group travel for 13 days (1 free day) = $3200 + Jeeps for Dhulikhel land visit = $160; total = $3360/16 = $210 per person

·        Airport pick-up and drop-off = $15 each way x 2 = $30 per person

Fees & Facilities = $100 per person 

·        Days 2, 3, 4, 6, 10, 14: Meetings at TITI x 6 … Rental + Sound = $100 x 6 = $600

·        Day 3 - Aksheswor Mahabihar for Chariya Nirtya … offering = $300

·        Day 4 - Holi Festival … offering for guest scholar and singers = $150

·        Day 12 - Celebration Co-ed School Event … offering = $200

·        Day 13 - Lumbini Public Event … offering = $200

·        Fees/Permits for Temples, World Heritage Sites, National Parks = $150 

Organization, Guides, Teachers = $630 per person

·        Shiv Yog Sadhana Kendra = $15/day

·        Parvathy ji = $15/day

·        Sufi Way | Bay Dervish = $15/day; total $45/day x 14

Totals

·        Hotel A @ $25/day = $ 350 + $1230 = $1580

·        Hotel B @ $35/day = $490 + $1230 = $1720

Not included in costs

·        Personal local transport other than on the group bus 

·        Personal donations for temples, religious sites, villages, other “outside” activities etc.; we suggest you estimate $100 for this.

“Dana”

The costs for the organization, guides and teachers have been kept very low to make this trip affordable; please consider offering “dana” if you feel satisfied and nourished by what you receive from the three host groups.

Also, remember to tip people who help you along the way – and don’t forget to shop!
